GUIDED TOURS 2025

  • The Castle of Monastero Bormida is part of the Castelli Aperti network and will be open to visits in the following dates:

TOUR TIMES & PRICES:

  • 11:00 AM & 5:00 PM: Special guided tour with historical interpreters in period costume from Custodes Viarum – €7 per person
  • 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 6:00 PM: Standard guided tour – €3 per person, €2 for children under 12 and holders of the Piemonte Museum Subscription.

Reservations are required only for groups.

The tour lasts approximately one hour, in Italian, with English or French translations available (not at all times, please call for confirmation). You will discover the fascinating history of this remarkable site, which has changed its purpose multiple times over the centuries, and is now a cultural, recreational, and artistic hub open to the public.

ENHANCE YOUR SUNDAY VISIT:

  • At the end of the 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM tours: Enjoy an aperitif with local wines and products in one of the castle’s halls or the courtyard-chiostro, upon reservation.
    Price: €10 per person, €5 for a special children’s menu.
  • Tasting lunch at Agriturismo Luna di Miele: A set menu featuring two appetizers, two first courses, aged Roccaverano cheese, dessert, ¼ liter of wine, water, and coffee. Price: €30 per person, reservation required by 2:00 PM on the previous Saturday.

At the tourist information point under the castle’s arcades, you’ll find useful tips to extend your stay in the area or plan a future visit, as well as a selection of local products to take home as a memory of your day in Val Bormida and Langa Astigiana.
